Do you know a thing or two about creating websites? Do you want to use your digital powers for good?
Our Life Recovery project, which supports people recovering from addiction and abuse, is looking for some voluntary website support. Here's some more information from Stu, Life Recovery Manager:
"The Life Recovery project would like to expand its online presence by creating and maintaining a custom-built WordPress website (separate from the CCM website) to enable churches, individuals and Life Recovery teams to access information and resource materials, participate in online discussion, create members-only areas, online training podcasts and videos and recovery-focused testimonies… a bit of an interactive/dynamic hub.
This is a growing project and we're not planning on launching anything until the autumn. However, we anticipate that this will develop over the next two years, so would be looking for some long-term input, probably around 2-3 hours per week (at a guess!). The vision is for it to feel like a live hub for Life Recovery, connected to people locally and eventually nationally. It will be a learning curve for all involved! You'll have creative freedom and ultimately we'll be striking a balance between what we would love to do and what can reasonably be done! Nothing too tech-y required – simplicity preferred to complexity!
If you're willing to start a conversation to see if you can be part of this that would be great – no immediate long-term commitment expected (like dating… before you know you want to get engaged to marry).
We’re a great team to work with (or your money back!).
If this sounds like something you could help with, please email Stu here.
